Learn Which Hand is Your Left Hand

Supplies needed:

A letter L cut out of paper, cardboard, or sandpaper

Your child’s hands

Cut out a letter L out of paper, cardboard, or sandpaper. Show the letter to the child and let them hold it and trace it with their finger.   Have the child hold out both hands in front of them with the thumbs on the inside side by side.  Ask the child which hand makes the shape of the letter L?  Right, the one on the left.  The one on right is pointing the wrong way for the letter L.  Now the child can easily know how to tell left from right.
